Local residents are being invited join their new Parish Council at a special meeting to be held at the Alderley Edge Scout Hut on Wednesday, 3rd June.

This will be an informal event where councillors want to hear your views and ideas and where you can lend your support to help them build a better village.

Topics to be discussed include the new Medical Centre, refurbishment of the Festival Hall, roads and parking, the park and new facilities for residents of all ages.

Rachael Grantham, Vice-Chairman of Alderley Edge Parish Council, said "We are a great community and the only way we can work together to improve our village is to hear the views of the residents of Alderley Edge.

"These meetings will provide an opportunity to discuss the future, what we can achieve and how as your Parish Council we can assist in making the village something we can all be very proud of.

"On Wednesday we will give you a roundup of everything we have done to date, where we are at and what we hope to achieve before we meet next. We hope to start to put together various support groups and encourage open discussion in an informal and relaxed atmosphere."

The meeting will start at 7.45pm at the Alderley Edge Scout Hut on Talbot Road.

Likewise. Looking forward to hearing about ways in which we can get behind the new Council and support them in making the village a better place.
