With its stunning bowling green and dining patio, the Drum and Monkey is set to embrace the summer with a fully refreshed menu and brightened pub interior. Catering for a discerning local audience, the new owners have created an ambience matched by a menu that sets itself apart from the norm yet offers comfort, reliability and remarkable taste.

New additions including the ploughman's lunch and sticky beef salad are partnered with old favourites such as the greatly sought after, and talked about, beef wellington. The desserts are set to continue in popularity amongst regulars and new guests, with homemade sticky toffee pudding making a reappearance alongside a summer passionfruit cheesecake.

Never a pair to stand still, the new landlords are also offering a twist on offering simple outside dining in the sun. From June, friends of the Drum can enjoy a hamper on the green including a bottle of fizz and a selection of fine meats and delicacies. In the typical Drum and Monkey hospitality style the team even provide picnic blankets!

To mark the start of summer, and to celebrate the extended May Bank Holiday weekend there will be live music at the local pub this Sunday. Starting at 7pm, the entertainment will be provided by Dave and Howard; the fantastic duo that reopened the pub back in January this year.

To book a table, be alerted to future events or hire out their function room call Katie or Phil on 01625 583977. Also check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/drumandmonkeyalderley where the team offer regular updates of daily menu specials and events planned.
