Alderley Edge History Group have arranged for mathematician and computer whizz Neil Sheldon to give a talk on the 'father of the computer', Alan Turing.

John Wallace commented "Now the subject of a highly successful film, Turing lived in Wilmslow for a time, and had strong connections with people, still living, in Alderley Edge - in fact this talk will reveal, for the first time, some fascinating village connections."

The talk takes place at the Methodist Church Rooms on Chapel Road at 7.30pm on Monday 20th April. Attendance is free for Alderley History Group members and a small charge will apply for guests.

All are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
