Alderley Edge pupils were triumphant this week in the Indoor Athletics Competition, competing against 8 other local schools.

Having been runners up for the last few years, Alderley Edge Community Primary School were delighted to secure first place with a fantastic overall score.

The team, which competed at Wilmslow High School on Monday 19th January, was made up of mainly Year 6 children with a few from Year 5.

Mr Sivewright, PE Teacher at AECPS, said "I am obviously proud of all the children."

Headteacher Chris Perry added "Every single child had to perform well in order to win and it is a great achievement for a smaller school to win this event."

Alderley Edge Community Primary School has now qualified for the Macclesfield and District Finals which will take place in the next few weeks.
