A teenager from Alderley Edge has been selected as a contestant in the upcoming Miss Galaxy England competition.
Sorcha Chadwick of Knutsford Road will compete as Miss Teen Alderley Edge Galaxy in next month's beauty pageant, the winners of which will travel to America to compete in the final.
Sorcha, 17, attends Alderley Edge Girls School where she is currently studying for her English language, ICT and economics A levels.
Having previously represented Wilmslow in the Miss England competition, where she was delighted to come in the top ten, Sorcha said "I am very proud to be representing Alderley Edge in this worldwide competition."
She added "I chose to enter the competition as I felt it would help me develop a strong sense of self confidence, enhance my people skills and develop my public speaking."
The final of Miss Teen Galaxy England will take place on Saturday 7th February at Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire.
Speaking about the final, Sorcha explained "There are 3 aspects to the pageant, firstly showcasing fashion through evening wear, swimwear and contemporary fashion choices. Secondly, a panel interview with the judges on the day and lastly, the submission of a portfolio of appearances within the community."
