Part of Hough Lane, from the Moss Road end, was closed for a few hours yesterday whilst police dealt with fallen power lines.
Police were alerted to fallen power lines at 3:29pm on Sunday, 28th December. The power lines were still live and sparking at the side of the road.
A police spokesperson said "Officers attended and as a safety precaution the road was closed to both vehicles and pedestrians while Electricity Northwest worked to make the cables safe.
"At 6:45pm power was restored and the road was reopened to the public."
