Ronaldo profits £1.6 million from house sale

According to a report today in The Sun, Ronaldo has sold his old home in Alderley Edge to the new Manchester City signing Emmanual Adebayor for £5.5 million.

The house was marketed privately and it is believed Adebayor had to beat off stiff competition from his team mates Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Kolo Toure, along with Manchester United's new signing Antonio Valencia.

If the sales price is accurate, Ronaldo will make £1.6 million profit in less than two years. According to the Land Registry he purchased the house in October 2007 for £3,895,000. The seven bedroomed mansion has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym and cinema room.

Adebayor will be keen to make at least one alteration though as Ronaldo supposedly had metal bars fitted to one of the windows spelling out CR7.
