Alderley Edge Parish Council will hold their monthly meeting on Monday 13th October in the Festival Hall, starting at 7.30pm.

Items up for discussion include a parking strategy for the village, the possibility of appointing a town crier and conducting a parish survey on future plans for Alderley Edge.

An update from the 'Projects sub-committee' regarding the development of a new medical centre at the Festival Hall is also on the agenda.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and a period of not more than twenty minutes will be made available towards the beginning for the public to ask questions or submit comments.

Unless I have misunderstood the agenda the public are excluded from part II of the meeting where discussions on parking strategy, future plans survey and town crier take place.

Just an observation in case anyone was thinking of turning up to learn more about these items.

Hi Jonathan, no the public and press are only excluded whilst the Parish Council discusses staff salaries.

The Parish Council meeting is then followed by the General Purposes Committee meeting which is when the discussions on a parking strategy, future plans survey and town crier will take place. The public and press are not excluded from this.

Often what happens is they move the Part 2 until after the General Purposes Committee meeting so we don't have to leave and then come back.
