Cheshire East lays on breakfast and advice on business finance

Business people can get impartial advice on obtaining finance at a free to attend breakfast organised by Cheshire East Council.

The event, held in conjunction with Business Finance Solutions, is on Thursday, October 23, at Alderley Park Conference Centre, starting at 7.45am.

Councillor Michael Jones, Cheshire East's Council Leader, will welcome delegates and there will be a keynote speech on the economy from John Young, North West agent for the Bank of England.

They will be followed by presentations and Q&A sessions with David Martin of Business Finance Solutions and John Moore of Access to Finance, who will outline what financial products are available and how they help businesses apply for them.

Councillor Jones said: "Although there are a growing number of financial assistance packages available it can be difficult for a business to navigate the different providers and decide on the best solution.

"Cheshire East has organised this event to ensure that our businesses have access to the best impartial advice and guidance possible and can develop and grow to their full potential."

There will also be an opportunity to comment on how Cheshire East proposes to spend its budget in 2015/16 and delegates will be able to visit the home of the new biohub development at Alderley Park, which is set to become a national centre of excellence for the life sciences sector.

Business Finance Solutions is a Government-backed body which provides affordable business loans and services. These include: New Enterprise Allowance (£500-£2500); start-up loans (£500-£25,000); business loans for Greater Manchester and Cheshire (£3,000 - £100,000); business loans for the wider North West (£25,000 - £50,000); and advice on availability of loan and equity products (£100,000 - £2m).
