Plans for 81 homes in the Green Belt withdrawn

WELTONUSE

A planning application for a development of up to 81 homes on green belt land separating Wilmslow and Alderley Edge has been withdrawn.

Tesni Homes have withdrawn their application to build 57 market homes and 24 affordable homes at Welton Oaks Site, which would be accessed off Welton Drive and Stockton Road.

Planning application 14/3338M was due to be discussed by the Northern Planning Committee today, Wednesday October 1st.

It had been recommended for refusal on the grounds that it was inappropriate development in the Green Belt, which would have an adverse impact on openness which was not outweighed by very special circumstances.

The outline planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website.

They will be back. It's hard to shake off a bad smell.
