Celebrate Halloween at The Main Event

A host of talented local musicians are coming together to perform for charity on what promises to be a memorable Halloween night.

The Main Event is being held on Friday 31st October at Alderley Edge Festival Hall with DJ Hilton Thompson taking to the decks, an acoustic set from George Marshall and performances from three bands: The Lost 37, Butterfly Jam, The Purge and The Bridgewater Blues Band.

There will also be a fully licenced bar, hot food and an outside cocktail bar serving winter warmers.

The charity evening is being organised by Lucie Rose, whose mum passed away last year following a long battle with bile duct cancer. The Main Event is being held in aid of Christie's Hospital and Macmillan Cancer Support, as a way of giving something back for all the help they provided to Lucie's mum and the rest of their family.

Lucie explained "The Christy were truly amazing with mum, especially her consultant Prof. Valle, they gave us our mum for an extra 4 years with a great quality of life, which we thank him for. The care and compassion of the nurses and staff at the Christy was truly amazing, right up until the end. We are so lucky to have the Christy on our doorstep and they partly survive on public donations, hence the Charity Night.

"In the last six months of mum's life when she became increasingly ill she was appointed a MacMillan nurse who looked after mum and was always available if mum needed her. The MacMillan nurse was also there for the family, which is so important, as cancer is a disease whose effects ripple out across the family and every member of the family needs support."

Tickets priced £15, and £10 for under 18s, are available from Crissy or Ashley on 01625 582150 or email [email protected], from the bands or on the door.

Door open 7.30pm until late.
