Green light for six new homes on Lynton Lane

lynton

Planning permission has been granted to demolish a house on Lynton Lane and replace it with six new properties.

PH Property Holdings have been given the go ahead to knock down Lower Lynton, a large 3 storey property which is currently divided into apartments. This will be replaced with four 3 storey townhouses and a pair of semi-detached houses. All of which will have three bedrooms.

Each of the semi detached homes will have a private drive and integral garage. An additional eight parking spaces and a turning area will be provided on the site.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 14/0973M.

The plans look far easier on the eye than what is there at the moment in my opinion.

Hi Trevor, how is this madness?

The property as it stands looks ghastly; the plot is huge to easily accommodate the two new buildings and in keeping with the surrounding buildings which are blocks of flats. In fact the development looks quite similar in size and style to the first phase of the Royal Oak development on Heyes Lane (4 town houses in a row and a separate building to the rear).

Seems like a rational and well-judged application / development.

The house is already in two apartments (lower & upper). All nearby properties are either townhouses or flats (or old peoples homes). The owner of one of the apartments is now widowed and wishes to move. I am a neighbour and have no objection. The Parish Council plans committee accepted the change with no serious objections.

Its going to be a big improvement on what is currently there. This is one plan I think is a good thing.

Planning permission is granted, as you know. The developer wants to get started, I am told, in the next couple of weeks.
