A man found a bottle on the beach. He opened it and out popped a genie, who gave the man 3 wishes. The man wished for a million dollars, and poof! There was a million dollars. Then he wished for a convertible, and poof! There was a convertible. And then, he wished he could be irresistible to all women... Poof! He turned into a box of chocolates!
Well, there may not be a magic genie on site, but on Saturday September 20th the team at Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe will be hosting their annual Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza Day. Under a marquee at the shop an entire table will be filled with plate fulls of your favourite and unusual chocolate all for you to taste and try before you buy. Our Chocolatiere Ken Harrison will be on hand to talk to you about his amazing flavours.
Favourites on offer will include the divine Caramel Drops, Peanut Butter Crunch, Lemon Cheesecake, Old Jamaica, Strawberries & Champagne, Cookies & Cream, Salt Caramel, Banoffee, Fudge Crunch, Ginger Beer, Creamy Caramel and even Dark chocolate with Chilli – try it if you dare.
Mr Simms Alderley are also launching the ever popular Golden Ticket Event on September 20th which will run for 4 weeks. Any customer who buys a bar of their delicious chocolate could be in with the chance of winning a great prize including vouchers for Gusto, the new Tomfoolery at 34 and £20 vouchers to spend in store. There will be one prize per week and lucky winners will find the winning ticket well and truly hidden inside their chocolate bar. So, no cheating!
As if this wasn't enough chocolaty excitement, on September 27th the well know local Chocolatier, Simon Dunn, will be at the shop with even more chocolate samples from his range to tempt you. Simon, much missed in Wilmslow, will be supplying Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe with his delicious chocolaty goods from mid September.
And finally, to finish off a right proper chocolately month in Alderley Mr Simms will be stocking the exquisite –to-die-for Cocoa Cobana chocolate, hand-made in Didsbury by the world renowned Slattery's trained Sarah Gallacher.
