Plans for new fitness studio

highstreet

A planning application has been submitted for the change of use of a first and second floor unit on London Road from B1 (office) to D2 (leisure).

The ground floor at 35 London Road will remain in its current state, as a retail unit, whilst the applicant proposes to utilise the space above to create a Yoga and Pilates studio where classes of no more than 10 people can be taught.

The First Floor, flanked by residential units to either side, will provide the studio accommodation. It is proposed to remove the dividing wall between the two rooms to create one large studio and use the attic as changing space for those attending the classes.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning application 14/3340M.

The deadline for submitting comments is 6th August and a decision is expected by 5th September.

Editors Note: Initially we reported the plan was for the studio to be at 31 London Road above Carrier Travel. This was due to an error on the planning application. Carrier Travel still trades and have their Concierge Lounge on the first floor for appointments.
