Firefighters were called to a fire involving a large decaying tree at the Edge on Tuesday, 15th July.
One fire engine from Bollington attended the incident off Mottram Road at 6.49pm after being called by a couple who were out walking.
They used handheld extinguishers to put out the tree fire which was well alight on arrival. The tree then had to be knocked down by the crew due to the unstable condition.
