Styal Road will be closed on Sunday 7th February 2010 whilst a repair is completed to a power cable on behalf of United Utilities.
Anybody travelling to Manchester Airport should use an alternative route such as the A538 from the centre of Wilmslow through the airport tunnels.

The closure is on the edge of the urban area of Wilmslow and access to Quarry Bank Mill, ‘The Carrs’ parking area, adjacent to Twinnies Bridge, and Styal Prison will only be possible from the Styal village end of the road.
The alternative route for through traffic will be via Station Road, Styal, Stanneylands Road and Manchester Road or vice versa.
