The festivities will start at 5pm and finish at 9.30pm.
There will be a stage on London Road near the NatWest Bank, as last year, and the market stalls will run down the centre of the road as far as Costa approximately.
Father Christmas will be making an appearance and the littles ones can also enjoy fairground rides.
Additional entertainment will include a snow globe, face painter and hopefully some street entertainers.
Additionally, new for this year, there will be Fancy Dress Dog Show held just outside Costa Coffee. The first class for Best Fancy Dressed Dog will take place at 5.30pm and the general class for Best Dog will follow at 6pm.
There will also be live entertainment throughout the evening and the lights will be switched on at 7pm.
Afterwards there will be open mic performances, organised by The Yard, until approximately 9.30pm. Performers will include Kimmy Beatbox, Tom Di Domenico, Max Culley, Catherine Taylor Dawson and Danny McCabe.
