Neil Sheldon will be giving a talk on the 'father of the computer', Alan Turing. Now the subject of a highly successful film, Turing lived in Wilmslow for a time, and had strong connections with people still living, in Alderley Edge - in fact this talk will reveal, for the first time, some fascinating village connections.
The talk takes place at the Methodist Church Rooms on Chapel Road at 7.30pm. Free for Alderley History Group members, a small charge will apply for guests. All are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
