Each of these events gives you the chance to try something new this week – tasting, making, eating and drinking! Lots of the events are free whilst some have a charge to cover your food and drink. Most require booking so please check the details of each event.

MONDAY 16TH

Tasting Banquet at Chilli Banana, Water Lane

Evening - £60 per head

Start your week with a tasting banquet with matched wines/cocktails. This event has been specially put together by May and her team for Wilmslow Food & Drink Week.

TUESDAY 17TH

Free Beef and Empanada Masterclass at CAU, Water Lane

Newly opened in Wilmslow, CAU is offering you the chance to see what they do best – Argentinian inspired food and great wines.

6pm – 7pm Max 20 people – First come, first served.

Get an introduction to beef and Argentinian street food by CAU's chef. Guests then get to make their own empanada.

Friday 20th

Food Tasting at Earlams Community Store, Cafe and Gallery, Altrincham Road, Styal

Try some of the artisan food produce stocked in the store. Foodies can enjoy sampling Staffordshire Savoury Eggs, Nonna Teresa's gourmet ravioli and sauces, a range of artisan spirits and spiced goodies (including some rock & roll pickles!).

Man Vs Food Challenge at Revolution, Alderley Road

From Plot to Plate

Growing vegetables and herbs is great fun, and a dish created from your own grown produce is rewarding as well as delicious. Why not join our 2015 'Plot to Plate' challenge?

If you know of a local children's group who have a little growing space and may be interested to grow, cook and eat their plot get in touch. We'll help you plan what you'd like to grow; help you plant and tend your herbs and vegetables and plan recipes around what you're growing. And you'll be able to showcase your home- produced dishes at our Incredible Edible Plot to Plate event - a bit of a party to celebrate all the produce and cooking created by our 2015 Plot to Plate participants.

Grow Your Own at Turner's Nursery

As an incentive to encourage people, young and old, to enjoy growing their own fruits, vegetables and herbs, the staff at Turners will be offering lots of tips and advice on how to succeed with your 'grow your own' projects.

They will be holding workshops/ demonstrations at 10.30am and 2.30pm each day. You are welcome to go and listen for free but if you would like to be more hands on, why not book in and plant up your own mossed herb basket or container. Cost £25 Adults, £10 Children. (10 yrs & under).

There will be herb baskets and containers for specific culinary and health uses for sale and they will also be offering a 20% discount off all fruit, vegetable and herb plants throughout the week.
