5   Me time

Fab place to escape to. Nothing nicer than a hot cup of tea and a slice of lush home-made cake to ease away the worries of the day. Keep up the good work ladies!xx

5   Fabulous place

Having driven past The Chocolate Box every day on my way to work in Macclesfield I decided to treat myself for lunch instead of staying in the office, and I'm so glad I did! Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious, wholesome food. I'll definitely be back for more lunchtime treats and will also bring family & friends at some point in the future. Well done to all the staff!

5   Fabulous

What a lovely afternoon. Thank you so much to Kate for accommodating 27 plus 4 small children for afternoon tea on Thursday. The room was beautiful, the tables were perfect, with lovely china and proper linen. The afternoon tea was exquisite and beautifully served. We had a fabulous time. We will be back.

5   Saturday morning bliss!

I go down to the Chocolate Box every Saturday morning with my 11 year old son, whilst my daughter is at ballet! It is his favourite treat of the week, even boasting to all his friends how great it is.

He always has the fantastic bacon and sausage bap (unless one of the fantastic cakes takes his fancy).

The staff are lovely and always have a smile - see you tomorrow!!!

Very highly recommended - try it you will not be disappointed!

5   Absolutely Fab!!

I visited the Chocolate Box for the second time this week, firstly with my daughter and grandaughter, nothing is too much trouble for these ladies, spotless high chair and changing facilities. The quality of the food, the variety and the service are all first class. Went again today with a friend, who was equally impressed, especially with the personal touch of all involved. The place was very busy, as it deserves to be. Long may it continue.

Also bought a few cakes to take out which were scrumptious!! A wonderful addition to the village.

5   Perfect Saturday afternoon

On saturday I had Afternoon Tea with 7 friends to celebrate our 50th year !

We would like to say a very big thank to Kate and Angela, with a special thanks to Pam who kept us topped up with tea for the duation. Although it was very busy the attenton to service was excellant and the surrounding delightful. The food was extremely fresh served on tiered cake stands and the scones, which were warmed ready to serve, melted in our mouths. We all came away with cake boxes of the things we just couldnt manage to fit in ! Overall we couldnt fault the afternoon and all promised to return with our mums ! thank you again for making this a special memory.

5   At last a touch of class!

A visit to the Chocolate Box is a must. Only dropped by for a coffee but was tempted by a warm cherry scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, the rest is history, I am now a regular visitor. Highly recommended.

5   A much-needed addition to the village

Food and service consistently of the highest quality. Great attention to detail. Find it impossible to leave without having eaten rather too much! Rightfully over-popular, so time your visit carefully or book to avoid disappointment.

5   You will want to keep coming back. A rare gem.

Rarely do I feel it's important to go out of my way and review a restaurant. Following several wonderful visits, from a perfectly cooked English breakfast to an indulgent mothers day lunch today with the brood, I must say the service, food and facilities are first class.

You will not be disappointed and the attentive staff went out of their way to make the kids feel very welcome.

5   A wonderful after school retreat!

I think this coffee shop is marvellous. I visited for the first time yesterday and met Kate, the owner. I took my six year old son as a treat and he sat next to me in his own personal chocolate heaven as he ate the warmed chocolate fudge cake and milkshake with cream and sweet topping!

The decor is delightful, beautifully presented and very clean!

There are fabulous baby facilities in the bathroom, the owners have thought and provided for everything.

I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning. Well done!

5   Simply a brilliant coffee shop

Having sampled most of the menu now, I just would like to say each time has been great; the two Sisters and staff are very welcoming, food is wonderful and I will be back again many times I hope !

I would recommend to any residents of the village who haven't tried it to give it a go !

5   Excellent Food and 1st Class Service

I now understand why Kate and Angela have 25 excellent reviews - well here is number 26.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. All of the staff are obviously happy in their work and they are a credit to Kate and Angela the owners (also sisters).

The Chocolate Box moves from Breakfast, Morning Coffee, Lunch through to Afternoon Tea.

The food is all served to you whilst still hot and all freshly prepared. The ingredients are all locally sourced and really make a difference.

Hard work and attention to detail really makes a difference here.

I'd like to keep this little gem a secret but that would not be fair to Kate and Angela. If you haven't already been then my advice is give it a try.

5   A little gem!

My family discovered this beautiful tea room Saturday afternoon and we can't wait to go back! The decor and attention to detail is like stepping into a story book. The menu is varied, plenty for any appitite, and the milkshakes went down a treat with our children. Most impressively, the prices suit every pocket. Well done, we will definately be coming back!

5   Lovely Ladies Lunch

My three friends and I were given a lovely warm welcome (as it lashed down outside) on Friday afternoon. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive and the ambience worthy of five stars. Well done ladies, we shall be back!

5   Little gem

The chocolate box is a great place. The staff are lovely and clearly passionate about quality food they produce . We would recommend this establishment to anyone who appreciates high quality, home made food at a astonishly reasonable price. Sisters Kate and Angela have created between them, a marvolous eatery in a way that is not only relaxed and but incredibly welcoming ! Well done ladies, we can't wait for our next visit!!

5   Charming and great value for money

I had a lovely lunch here today - the 'Prestbury Rarebit' was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Perfect comfort food for a chilly winter's day. Excellent quality and generous portion sizes - next time, I must leave room for a cake.

5   A little Gem

A real find! We were lucky enough to drop on The Chocolate Box on a recent visit to the area. I had a goats cheese salad which was wonderful. A lot of thought had gone into the flavours and textures and it really was the most enjoyable salad I have ever had. Wish it was closer to our home town of Sheffield! We will certainly return.

5   Tea in pretty china cups = tea heaven!!

I visited The Chocolate Box in Prestbury recently with some friends and what a treat was in store! It 's a truly lovely, welcoming tearoom - in a lovely location with easy, and free, car parking 2 mins away. What more could you want! The homemade food is beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The tearoom itself is visually pleasing, spotlessly clean and the staff were always on hand giving excellent, friendly service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

5   Highly recommended

I visited The Chocolate Box for lunch with my friends. It is just beautiful! A warm welcome, delicious, freshly prepared food in stylish surroundings. Some original touches too, such as the afternoon tea especially for children, served with a gingerbread man to decorate. Lovely! It was pleasantly busy, a testament to its popularity. I can highly recommend a visit.

5   Great lunch

What a lovely place to have lunch. I met up with some work colleagues and I must say what a treat of a place. The food is great and not over priced. Well presented in lovely surroundings. Kate and her staff are most welcomming. A rare treat in this day of fast food and chain coffee shops. I look forward to returning!

5   Tasteful and tasty lunch experience.

What a wonderful contrast to a miserable visit to Costa the day before. The Chocolate Box offers delicious food in a beautifully decorated, stylish space. I chose egg mayo sandwiches on brown. These tasted every bit as good as they looked; delicate as they should be and served on the plate with a decent portion of sidesalad and homemade coleslaw. The thick cut chips, a dish shared with my friends, were freshly cooked just as they should be. Finally I must mention the colours surrounding me: the soft purples and greys, the white fabric cloths and napkins; all went to enhance the pleasure of this delightful lunch experience. I look forward to returning.

5   Well worth it

My friends and I went for lunch and were delighted with the Chocolate Box. We will make it our go to place when we meet up in Macclesfiled. The food was lovely and the service excellent.

5   Fantastic lunch!

I visited the Chocolate Box today with my sister for lunch. We both decided to try the Prestbury Rarebit and will definitely be returning for some more. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the premises spotless and the food exceptional. I will be recommending the Chocolate Box to my friends.

5   Fabulous treat for son and I

Today while my son was off school due to the strike I decided to spen quality time with him and we went to the chocolate box for lunch. Greeted with a smile and seated. Ready to take our order and barely any time passed before we were given our lunch. The food was fantastic, the pleasant banter and the smile on my sons face made it a really enjoyable visit, will definitely recommend this place to friends and will be making use of their afternoon tea menu in the future.

4   Lovely Food and Cakes

Had a lovely lunch with the family, the chocolate brownine is a must. The china tea cups are lovely but I was a nervous wreck with 2 children wanting to hold them.

5   Exactly what Prestbury needs...

Finally managed to pop in this afternoon, Angela and Kate you have done a fantastic job, it looks lovely, the hot chocolate was perfect and Lydie loved her cupcake, she definitely wasn't up for sharing it! :) You definitely deserve all the lovely comments; you are exactly what Prestbury needs. I'm sure we will be in on Sunday for a fair amount of take away coffees to keep the staff happy. See you soon!! x x x

Just wanted to say myself and hub visited Choc Box on Sunday and had a lovely meal followed by cake and tea in a china cup.

I am always on the lookout for good places to try local tea/coffee 'n' cake and I wasn't disappointed. I love the attention to detail.

A couch would be an added bonus but I would probably sit there all day then!

5   Great Place

First visit to the new-look Chocolate Box today and it will surely be the first of many. Nice, light decor, excellent, friendly service, really good coffee, yummy teacakes and cinnamon toast - and the Sunday papers brought to the table, great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend the locally-produced jams as well. As somebody else has already said, this is just what the village needs - we wish the sisters every success.

5   A real treat

We visited the Chocolate Box on Thursday and had afternoon tea.

Access is easy, either using short term parking on the High Street, or the longer stay free car park, just round the corner, off Shirley Drive.

The Chocolate Box has a welcoming, cosy and relaxed ambience. Moreover, the staff spare no effort in providing a high standard of service, particular attention being paid to detail.

The tea and home made cake were delectable, a real treat.

Overall, the Chocolate Box is elegant, provides a gastronomic delight and has its own individual charm. In short, it is a real gem; a visit is highly recommended.

5   Excellent Light Lunch

Visited The Chocolate Box today at lunchtime on Sunday with my family. The menu is varied and interesting, great for snacks or lunch, prices are reasonable.

All the food was freshly prepared and could not be faulted. The service was excellent with plenty of friendly staff on hand. The decor has been refreshed, and it is clean and bright.

We bought cakes to take out, which were also very good.

Highly recommended.

5   Excellent quality and welcome

We visited on opening day 10 days ago and enjoyed it so much that we've returned twice since then. Food interesting and excellent quality. Service quite delightful and a really good menu choice - pitched just perfectly. An instant favourite - your research has been well done and we wish you every success.

5   A warm welcome to the village...

We visited the chocolate box on Thursday and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The ambience was lovely and very busy too, just what the village needs. What a refreshing change to large coffee shop chains... I am sure it will be a roaring success. Well done girls.
